i read the book in one seating yesterday. not a wise thing considering that i had to prep for class today. but as luck wld have it, both the lecture and tute have been cancelled cos the lecturer had to go for some china conference. (he's an ang moh who speaks perfect chinese. makes me feel bad for being sucky at it).

the book. well... i surprise myself. i don't really like science ficiton that much. hell! i didn't even enjoy the damm pod-racer-car thingy that skywalker boy competed in (or something like that). actually i didn't even catch the episodes. don't understand why it's so popular. it isn't the least bit interesting. (okie star wars fans don't kill me) but this book. this book captured my attetion at once. it was science ficiton but then not overtly so. it appealed to the maternal side in me i suppose, with lots of family oriented scenes.

i fell in love the character of 'the bug' in particular. a very special character. (reminds me to love my bro more, not that i don't love him that much already) in some of the more family type scenes i was actually on the verge of tearing. (read the book, u'll get an idea why i was being a wuss) and the actions sequences really kept me on the edge of my seat. i can hardly wait for disney to produce the movie and catch it on the big screen. matthew riley had already sold the rights to disney. and that's even before they read the end of the book. (wow!!)

'never give up, never say die' - that's the motto. and 'death or glory' - uttered by the absolutely precious bug! oh my gosh.. the little man is sooooo cute!! and he is a math genius who can withstand g-force up till g9!! gosh!! anyways, shall not spoil the book for those who haven't read. i highly (to the sky) reccomend this book. good read, with rea; characters in a imaginative future earth that is pretty believeable.

^_^ i am too lazy to open up the can of sweetened condensed milk in the cupboard. so i have been taking my milo with only sugar. tooo lazy.... someone come over and help me open can?! *please!* ohhh yeah.. shd read james patterson's when the wind blows and the lake house as well. 2 part story abt bird children. makes me wanna have wings and fly. maybe i shd drink red bull. *gives u winggs!!*
